A playlist may simply be called a collection or merely a list of songs, audiobooks, or even podcasts. These playlists make your experience with this app much better. You can make separate collections based on genre, situation, or anything else. For instance, people have a different gym playlist and a different playlist when they travel, and so forth.

Creating a Playlist on Spotify

Here is how you can create a playlist on the mobile app

First of all, open Spotify and log in. In the bottom menu, click on “Your Library.”

On the top-right of the library page, you can see a + icon. Click on it and select Playlist.

Name your playlist; it can be whatever you desire. It’s better if you name the playlist by genre or based on its purpose. For example: I usually name the playlists as melody, anime, lofi, etc. genres or based on use like study, gym, etc.

After naming your playlist, click the Create button. Once created, you will find a button that says, Add to this playlist. Start adding songs into the playlist you’ve just made by clicking that button.

By default, Spotify will feature “suggested songs” based on your interests, country, popularity, and much more. You can click on the + button beside those songs’ names to add them to the playlist.

Now, locate the song you want to add. Click on the song, then the three dots, and choose “Add to playlist.” Then, select your newly created playlist.

Creating your playlist is as simple as that. But if you want to copy another person’s playlist, then follow this process.

Copying or Duplicating a Playlist on Spotify

Copying and duplicating a playlist mean the same thing.

Go to the playlist you would like to duplicate. On the left of that, you will find three dots; click them and select “Add to other playlist.” You can either create a new playlist or copy the whole thing to your already existing playlists.

Hide, share, or delete a Playlist on Spotify

All three of these functions are performed almost similarly.

To hide a playlist, start by selecting the playlist. Now click on the three dots and select “Make Private.”

To share, follow the same steps as above and go to share. Click on the Copy link for the playlist and you can now share the link with your friends.

To delete, follow the same steps as above and select “Delete.” Now click on the Delete button to finish deleting your playlist.

Restoring a deleted Playlist on Spotify

Good news! Spotify lets you restore any playlists that were erased in the previous ninety days.

To restore a playlist, go to your account and then go to “Recover playlists.” Click on the restore button on the playlist you want to cover. It’s that simple!

The process remains identical on the desktop app or the web app too. Find the playlist you want to perform an action on, click on the three dots, and follow the same steps as above!
